Happy 1st birthday to Jacob!!!

No way!?!?

Yes My friends a year has already passed.  I am in disbelief that our baby is already a year old.  I will never forget that day.  We have been blessed with the sweetest most lovable little boy ever.  There is hardly a moment when he is not smiling.

Since moving to Bahrain he has endured many nights in a pack and play, extreme heat, long days looking for a place where his crib will fit just right, and jar baby food.... but, I am excited to report that a routine has been established yet again and his head is resting in his very own bed.

He continues to amaze us each day with his silly faces, dancing and gibberish.  He started walking right at 11 months and is now up to almost running.  He follows Katie everywhere.  Shoes, forget about it.  He has no time to waste putting them on.

We had his one year well check and he was 31.5 inches tall and 23.10 pounds.  Yes, he will be tall just like his daddy.  He will have big feet too.  He is already a 6 but not for long I am sure.

We have been teaching him some basic sign language to help communicate.  So far we have:  'More', 'please', 'all done', 'eat', 'drink', and we are working on 'thank you'.  Words he can say are:  'Mama', 'dada', 'baba' (bottle),' nana', what sounds like 'this' and 'that', and tons of silly things only he understands.  Haha.
